That sounds really cool, Briva : )

I have Boye brand hooks (I don't know the difference!) because that is the kind that DIL uses : )

I was kinda ruined for knitting when my Mom bought a knitting machine, and I could see how fast the machine could do HOURS worth of hand work! But, somehow, I'm enjoying crochet so far. But, DD has asked me to wait till she catches up with me, skill-wise : ) I was practicing while she was doing her lessons, and as she accurately says, she doesn't have much time to work on it. Maybe we'll start school with a short crochet practice in the AM : )

If you find cool, free online patterns, please share!

I found this one a while back - and I aspire to one day have enuf skill to make it : )

Great! Hmmmm. Making me want to make one! I find the trick to crochet, knitting and many other handcrafts is the COUNTING! Many patterns rely on keeping track of how many stitches you make so you can go into them again in a specific pattern. I tend to add or lose stitches along the way so learn early to keep track.

I find it a little difficult to keep count! I used to do counted cross stitch - but there you can always go back and look when you're done to count how many stitches you've made. Thanks for the tip : )

Pretty pleased with myself, because I'm not very "crafty" : )
