I've been using my mom's blood pressure cuff to monitor my #'s once in awhile and i was "lookin' good"! And then dh tried it. He said it was so off and to prove it he got his own. He is diabetic (type 2) and has heart issues as well so he has to track these things.
On HIS blood pressure cuff i was at 169/92!
That is NOT good! Anything over 140/90 is considered high blood pressure. Mom's was showing i was at 110/65!! That means SHE is going by a false reading, too. Tomorrow we will have her take her BP with dh's cuff. I almost hate to do it because she is feeling SO GOOD! But we want her to have the facts, at least.
As for me.... i intend to do something about it - diet and exercise which i have been inconsistent with at best and totally abandoning on most days.
