did a rendition of this song today and ds and I agreed that we LOVE this song! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcgemftnBo4I actually liked my church's version better. It was so good, I wish I recorded it!

Lisa, that's a pretty song but way too low for my soprano voice to sing. I bet if they have it arranged for parts it would sound beautiful.
Neesa, I like that song to however ours has the same words but not the same tune.

Beautiful song, Lisa.
I was especially surprised & pleased to see the shots of the blue domed Greek Church around 3:51.
Since our Church doesn't use new music for worship, and I rarely listen to Christian radio, I don't always see the great new releases out there.
Thanks for sharing.
(Haven't seen Neesa's post yet, as Little One is insisting on hearing Lisa's a second time : )

For the most part, I avoid Christian radio. I don't like hearing the same songs by the same artists over and over and over. It's always the same style too. Though my local station has been putting in some contemporary country sounding songs. blech.
I do like Chris Tomlin.

I don't like some Christian radio because the songs are in a style that seems irreverent to me.
And, some songs have just-plain bad Theology in them.
I find myself turning off every other song.
I finally listened to the song you posted. It's pretty and if I had never heard another version I think I would have loved it, but I'm used to a slightly different tune. I have trouble with new things - just my nature.

That's a great song, too, Neesa! I like Chris Tomlin, too!
I love that our church does a blend between hymns and more modern songs. We usually sing a few out of the hymn books, which I used to think were boring when I was a kid, but now I think they're beautiful. And we also sing a few that were written more recently. My pastor says that the hymns are important for theology/doctrine and the newer worship songs are sung TO God, so they are both important. Not true for every single song, but for most.

For our Church music, our hymns are nearly always centuries, or even millenia old. I like it that way.
But for uplifting listening in the car or at home, I also enjoy a lot of Christian music that would not be used in Church.
