We are doing the CLE curriculum and I only ordered the answer keys, not the teacher guides. Now I'm not sure how to grade the work, especially if there are several answers in each question. Does each answer count as a point?

In English, when there's a sentence to find and correct each word that should be capitalized...... do each of those words count as a point?

Are you going by an umbrella school, or are you on your own? If you're on your own you can correct it how you want. I always add up the total answers and then assign points to them to equal 100. So if there are 10 questions they would each (generally) be worth 10 points.

That makes it easy to turn into a percentage which makes it easy to assign a grade.

OTOH, if you're on your own, you don't have to "grade" it at all! :) Just mark the ones that are wrong and talk to the student about why they are wrong and have them fix it.

Welcome! I don't use a packaged program, I just go over the pages with DD and discuss the good & bad : )

It must be nearly all correct, or I require a re-do. No 70%=passing here!

Yes. The point is to understand the material, not get a good grade!
