Post subject:  High School English Comp. Is an online course the way to go?

Hello. I am homeschooling my first high schooler this year. I haven't chosen an English/Grammar/Composition curriculum yet because I am leaning towards an online course with a teacher. My issue is in my experience so far homeschooling (4 years), English and writing are the only things that can't be completely learned from a book or DVD because I need her work here to be corrected by a trained teacher. I'm not sure how to get around grading and correcting writing, and I have 6 younger children so I'm not even sure i'd have the time that she needs. I'm looking into some online courses where work would be emailed to a teacher but they are so expensive. I'm not sure if we could afford it. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

My son is going to complete the British Literature for high school credit by using the LifePacs. http://www.christianbook.com/lifepac-el ... vent=ESRCG
