now to work on spelling. I have Phonetic Zoo, Sequential Spelling...trying to decide which one to use. The unit study we'll be doing, has some spelling using latin/greek origins, but I'm not sure it will be enough. I will try it and see before deciding over the next few weeks.
We have done copywork in the past and it doesn't seem to help him, so I'm leaning more toward a more formal spelling program.

Sometimes things just take a while to "click." I don't think that much clicks in the absence of hard work, but sometimes you work & work to learn something for months or years, then it seems you suddenly get it. It happened with me & spelling when I was young, and I've had it happen with other academic topics, too.
