My name is Rose and I'm new to the forum. I was a teacher and a curriculum compiler before my kids grew old enough to be homeschooled. Having been in the education system, I realized quickly that homeschooling is the best decision I could make for DD and DS. It does have its ups and downs but I am yet to regret the decision. People sometimes don't realize the enormity of homeschooling - it is physically and emotionally heavy and sometimes you just need to know you are not alone and just need hear other people's stories. That is why I am here. You have converted me from a serial lurker to want to be an active member. I can't wait to get to know all of you! |

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Lurkdom, I do like that word! I agree that it's better to have come out of hiding! Sis, you should write your adventures down and compile them so it can be of use to other homeschoolers/parents. If I could follow my dream, I know you can too! |
