Has anyone read "The Looking Glass Wars" series by Frank Beddor?

I'm wondering if they are appropriate for an older teen girl?
(not my dd, a friend of hers is asking)

Never heard of it. Did you take a look at the Amazon reviews? They usually have MANY different perspectives there. :0)
