Are there any *free* websites you could suggest for writing instructio?. I'm looking for something on a 7th grade level.

I can't name any off the top of my head. When I've needed extra examples, I just go to google and type in exactly what I'm looking for. I know that on youtube, you can get snippets of instruction from IEW.

I liked IEW but we had it on video and our machine quit working. :\ It's something I'd like to use with cd's and see how the whole program develops.

7th grade level falls under written narration. This article was written for the Ambleside Online curriculum (which is free to use) they recommend supplementing writing with Writing Strands, which I used with my youngest, or http://www.excellenceinwriting.com/about-us

I used copywork to reinforce spelling, grammar and vocabulary. The Ambleside website
