Post subject:  Martha...a SOS question...

Do you require your DS to do any other work in addition to his SOS program??? Like, writing an essay, or research, etc?

I am so hoping that this will be a good answer to some of the conflict....hoping that it will cut down on the conflict if I am out of the equation as much as possible, anyway. My younger DS is going to set everything up for me on his old laptop, which he doesn't use anymore.

We will be going to co-op once a week and hopefully, she will be going back to her writing class....met at the same place/same day as the co op which is convenient. And of course piano lessons, and, occasionally, church (although I have been limiting the church/youth activities as it seems to affect her attitude!), so she does have some other outlets.

Thanks for all your help and input with this, Martha. I sure do appreciate it.

I'm obviously not Martha, but when we did SOS we did not require anything extra. If your dd is taking a writing class, she will get the extra there if you feel that is important.

We didn't do anything extra as far as schoolwork, but he was in the church band and did Sea Cadets.

Did your ds do the hands-on science experiments, or did he just stick to what was on the computer program.

My younger ds is here now, and helping me to set this all up on his old laptop. I hope I can figure it all out!!!!

Thanks, Martha! I was hoping you would say that. ;) I really did not want to have to buy more stuff that would probably end up on a shelf collecting dust!
