To me, the entire PURPOSE of Thanksgiving is to Thank GOD for our Blessings. The First Thanksgiving was about that!

But, at the library the other day, I looked and looked for a Thanksgiving book for young children that had even a brief mention of God. I found one in the entire collection, and the mention of God in it was VERY brief!

Likewise, today we were on Sesame Street DOT Org, and Abby Caddaby says, "Thanksgiving is a time to THINK ABOUT all the things we enjoy" - not a time to actully GIVE THANKS

Does anyone out there know of any good online resources to teach about the day in a CHRISTIAN way - or a good book for young ones I could search for in the library collection?

Found this resource long ago when we were studying St. Patrick. I knew he was a real person but we couldnt find anything about him. The website also has articles on holidays like Thanksgiving.
