Along similar lines, i came across a "new" idea - everybody metabolizes foods differently. You need to get a "personalized" menu plan after having dna, blood sugars and lifestyle evaluated - for right around $300!!!!! I'd love to do it just to see what it says but, yeah, not happening.

BESIDES, how do you do that for the whole family?! Goofiness!
I know this may sound very odd but something i've noticed, whenever i start eating whole real foods for the majority of my meals, i start my period. Maybe it's because part of my PMS is "planning" and i get revved up to start something new - often "eating right".
ANYWAYS, i've been trying to eat healthy foods and pay attention to how i feel after i eat them. Coffee often makes me feel bad.

Iced coffee doesn't seem to, tho'???
I had salmon, tabouli and a chickpea/avocado salad for lunch and feel good. I had eggs for breakfast without any toast and felt good. I had a yummy black bean/lentil hamburger (wrapped in lettuce) with all the fixings and it blew right thru me!!! NOT a good feeling. Maybe i just had too much beans/lentils after not eating them for awhile. I dunno. I'll work up to them this time.
Another weird thing, my joints - especially my jammed thumb joint - hurt pretty bad the last couple of days!!! I wouldn't have tho't too much about it except that it's been better for a month or so until i started eating healthier! I may not have put those 2 things together except a friend of mine is eating a no-fruit diet because her holistic doctor mentioned fruit can be related to arthritis joint pain!
Is it food-combining or the actual types of foods that bother us? I think Linda was talking about not eating certain foods with other certain foods. ??
