(turn off pictures before clicking - Daily Mail isn't so good with pictures, especially if you have kids in the room)

Why yes, as a matter of fact, it is : )

(if you have firefox browser, there is a picture blocker you can turn on or off - an "add on" that you can choose from their add on page. They also have a wonderful ad blocker : )

ETA - there's a video at the bottom of the article that actually shows a picture of the study abstract - so you can see its title & google it if you're interested :ugeek:

Yep. An older cousin told me something similar back in the late 70's. He said jogging just messed up your knees, its about wear and tear. I have always preferred simple walking and the occasional chasing after toddlers.

How many times have you heard of a "fanatical jogger" dropping dead while running? It's pretty common! I heard such a story just the other day - a man who had been obese, but took up running 10 miles every morning and got slim - then dropped dead. The study DOES support moderate exercise (2-3 times a week for 30 min) but not 7.5 hours/week.

Well, it seems like common sense to me. How were we created? To tend a garden. To carry wood. To chase after toddlers. To walk. To pick fruit. To play - which *could* involve some running and throwing. Not the kind of exercise we do today.
