I am very slowly acclimating myself to a way of eating that is sustainable.
When i tho't i was "craving" a burger - i got one. When i tho't i *had* to have pizza - i bo't 2 slices. Same with clam chowder, sour cream and onion chips and other things.
Then, i rated them. Were they worth the calories and the fall off the fire engine?
I was surprised at how "meh" the chips were! I LOVE sour cream and onion chips - usually. Same with the burger - just ok, not worth the fall. However, the clam chowder and the date pizza are worth the occasional treat!!!
I've maintained an 8 lb weight loss so far.
I think as i get used to making bean burgers and other "familiar" but healthier (aka vegan) foods i will have less desire to "cheat".
I plan to try Briva's cheese sauce this coming week. Looking forward to mac and cheese with broccoli and tomatoes!
