making pinto beans, two pots full and freeze it.
I love my instant pot.
Will make my rice in my instant rice pot.
Freezing up food ,
We grew up on pinto beans and rice and corn bread and fried potatoes.
We were a lot healthier then. :)

There is a local restaurant here that has a Hungry Man's platter; pinto beans, fried potatoes, coleslaw, chopped onions, and cornbread. All it needs is a side of greens!

My pressure cooker is a stove top type but I love it. Love making beans in it.

I don't know if you like baked beans, but my manual had a recipe for them and that's how I make them now. Only cook for @25 minutes.

Baked Beans- as written in pressure cooker manual

2 cups navy beans
3 cups water
1/4 cup catsup
1/4 cup molasses
1 8oz slice uncooked ham, diced
1 medium onion, minced
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
salt to taste

Soak beans overnight OR bring to boil then let soak 1 hr. Drain and rinse.
Add drained beans and remaining ingredients except salt to cooker. Cook 35 minutes with pressure regulator rocking slowly. Let pressure drop of its own accord.

This is link to the cooker manual from Presto website
https://www.gopresto.com/downloads/instructions/01362.pdf

What I do is:
1 bag of navy or great northern beans, quick soak method
1 regular size can tomato sauce plus most of a can of diet cola
Molasses and brown sugar - just a little - we don't like them sweet
Couple spoonfuls bacon grease, or ham or bacon if I have it handy
Dried bell peppers, maybe a tablespoon or so. Also usually use dried onions
A squirt of table mustard - I never have the dry
Salt and pepper to taste
Dash of hot sauce
A few spoonfuls of Worcestershire sauce

I cook for 25 minutes at pressure. Natural release. They thicken nicely when stirred after cooking. If I want them sweeter after cooking I add a few drops of liquid stevia but we don't like them as sweet as lots of people do.

Yours may require different liquid amount or cooking times. I've never used an electric one. I included link to the manual so you can compare other cooking times to your manual and see if you need to adjust anything. Obviously you can adjust to your favorite recipe, just make sure you have the liquid your cooker requires for the amount of beans you use.

Just for comparison of cookers and times, if I do a bag of plain pinto beans I soak, drain then cook at pressure for 4 minutes.
