dh decided he is not working anymore. I made homemade chicken soup with the veggies I want . made home made biscuits also. DD loves carbs. just put my veggies with liquid and seasoning in the pot , hit manual and how many minutes I want it to cook , usually 40 for whatever I put in it. mainly veggies and stuff for soup and an hour later it is done.

I do not use the other buttons much, even if I put a roast in it I do the manual and it comes out done. With my memory which I do not have one, this is very simple to do. It is worth the investment if you have more than two people to cook for. I just wish they had it in a smaller size. They have pressure cookers in a smaller size but I have not found an instant pot in a smaller size,
