Know thyself.

It is helpful when planning my food to think about my hardest part of the day. I can often do well, when i'm thinking about it, all day long. BUT, once dinner is over and things are settling down.... the munchies attack almost without warning. If i get *hungry* i can have a protein shake or dinner leftovers but that's seldom the case. I want to crunch on something - and NOT raw veggies. :? I want greasy chips, salty crunchy pb pretzels, and carbonation. But i must break this cycle.

Since it is light longer maybe it would be good to get in the habit of .... no, not go outside. Maybe do some embroidery or something. Hmmm. I have some started SOMEWHERE.

I tho't i'd come confess here in hopes that i would feel fortified somehow. LOL

Kale chips? Roasted garbonzo beans? Something like that you can get the crunch you're looking for and it's good for you. If you make your own you can control the salt, and make any flavor you want.

Or mixed nuts, granola, etc.. Crunchy alternatives to potato chips.

For me, there are two causes of that:
1. cravings caused by imbalanced diet. If I eat a balanced diet (say McDougall style) my cravings diminish to almost nothing.

2. Bad habits. A nice cup of an herb tea I like (like Bengal Spice by Celestial seasonings, or some similar thing) with a noncaloric sweetener packet helps me replace a bad habit with a better habit : )

It looks like the calorie points would be over a hundred for either garbonzos or kale chips! This things will be good alternatives later but not right now. I'm really trying to get things moving in the next 10 days or so. I'd really like to drop at LEAST 4 lb by then. :)

Remember, Sis, weight changes (up or down!) are a Marathon, not a sprint. All sprinting does is make you collapse on the ground ;)

I just bought a package of roasted seaweed from the store, to try. It's crunchy, salty, and healthy. Haven't tried it yet, though.
