Post subject:  100 Days of Real Food?

Has anyone here done this? I'm studying on it now. Trying to make small changes. I can NOT do the low carb I was doing and live on it.

When I make my next grocery trip I'm going to attempt a meal planning day and prepare what I can before hand and see how that goes. I've never done that before.

It does help to have a plan. I used to meal plan years ago!! But not now, and I really should. I'm not good at coming up with quick, healthy meals. Also, i tend to forget what I need from the store!! So any good meal idea is halted due to lack of ingredients.

I'm trying to add veggies to every meal. Namely green veggies. I've added okra, zucchini, broccoli, kale and baby spinach so far. I alternate them depending on what I'm cooking. I want to feel better. :)

I have followed her for a couple years now. I like her stuff but i "can't live" by preparing ahead. I just don't do it. It is KEY.

Yes, the prep is key. And even in prep-which I am planning to do-I think the hardest thing is going to be getting the rest of the family to eat my planned-clean-portions. LOL I don't want to waste food. I also do not want to have to buy by two different grocery lists-which I realize to some point I am going to have to do that. I will research to do my best to find clean options for their quick snacks they grab.

It'll be more work to make my own breads and things but I USE to do these things all the time. I'm hoping to ease back into it. I just have purchased both of her books.

Tory-I have always been jealous of your follow through. You thoroughly impressed me with your running and 5ks. I tried so hard but never made it. I'm a thinker and a planner it is the actual follow through-the DOING that I lack in. It comes from my bipolar I know. But still that is an excuse. Right now I don't have my own vehicle and I'm cooped up in the house a lot. We are planning to get me one in the next week and I PLAN to do a few things. I've set some goals. Yoga, gym, clean eating and some tanning just for my vitamin D and some color to my skin. Somethings to pull me out of this winter funk. Ya know?

Girl.. Thank you but I don't deserve it! I've fallen off the wagon so many times. I really, REALLY have to force myself to do good things for my health... And I go kicking and screaming along the way. Lol!

But we can hold one another accountable. :) you CAN do this.. Depression comes from being indoors too much. I feel so much better outside! Or working... Just anything instead of being home so much alone. It takes a toll on me so I have to be the bad guy to myself and make myself get up and get to it.

I hope you get a car soon. ((hugs))
