Dh's marathon of driving to NM and back this weekend left them tired but me happy. I was making ratatouille and asked ds what would he season it with, as I would just salt and pepper it and maybe sprinkle basil on it. He looked through my spice cabinet and added amongst other things cardamon and peppermint extract

It was, however fragrant and wonderful. I will have to say, he never did cook anything we could not eat.

I have a lot to learn, I would be more than glad to leave the kitchen to him, though :D

Interesting! I would love for my kids to come home and cook. :) They'd rather take us out to eat. This summer I think I will be the one to cook at dd's. I could be surprised, tho'. When she cooks she cooks good.

I don't think I've ever used cardamon, and peppermint extract in ratatouille?!!! Bizarro! LOL
