Not enough evidence to justify, patients should do fecal occult testing every 2 years or the old flexible sigmoidoscopy.

HA! I've always said that! LOL Do you think the U.S. will follow suit? They've said the same for several cancer screenings but I haven't heard of any changes.

Now I'm thinking of Mary L. I think the hardest part of getting older (at least right now) is knowing so many people that have died or been thru horrendous difficulties. :(

I think the US WILL follow suit - but not because it is better for us, but to avoid the costs on socialized medicine. Pardon my cynicism.

I DO tend to agree with Dr. McDougall on this - BUT - I don't believe "we're from the government, and we have your best interests at heart" - whether we're discussing Canadian or US govts.
