The sandwich sounds delicious - but pricey! If I make portabellas for me, and steak for DH, quite frequently my meal costs more than his : ( What do you mean that the salad came "with animals' - you mean they put meat on all their salads? Gross! |

Gross! Either shrimp, crab, salmon, chicken, steak, or cheese on the salads. I didn't want to start saying "without this and that" too much so I had the sandwich without mayo. I'd have to ask about their homemade dressings as well. The sandwich was easier. (The bread could've been iffy - egg?) How many portabellas do you eat!? |

It is my experience that I can *easily* eat a pound of portabellas while DH eats a steak - you're only talking 2 to 4 caps. http://www.producepete.com/shows/portabella.html And, of course, DD likes them just as much as I do - so you're talking some serious cash by the time dinner is done. |

I'll have to weigh them next time I get them. What about the sliced baby portabellas? They might go further.?? I'd use one smaller portabella per sandwich, I think. I could even see using 1/2 of a larger one. |
