Today I tried my hand at calzones. Pizza dough filled with a broccoli, tofu "ricotta" and dipped in tomato sauce. I really liked the tomato sauce from the Vegan Lunch Box book. It has kale and carrots, basil and tomatoes. (Dh calls it marinara which, I guess, it is.)

I have pizza dough leftover and marinara leftover. I'm thinking we'll have pizzas tomorrow. :)

I still have not made a couple of the recipes I'd planned for week one. There were enough leftovers to hold us over. I figured that would happen and I'm so glad since the grocery bill seemed so high. I subtracted the "extras" I got for this week and found my *extras* were $45! oops  I picked up things like pens, tape, 3x5's, cable ties, memo book, cards, dice... Don't know what I was thinking.

WE LOVE Calzones here : )

I made them at the beginning of Advent this year, and it really cheered DD up - she didn't mind "missing" all those nonfasting foods quite as much then : )

I suppose they're on your website? Mine were ok but I'd like to "play" with them a bit. I've never made calzones before and have only eaten them once or twice in my life.

Mais Oui = "Of Course" in French
Vevaios = "Of Course" in Greek

I'll take the Greek. LOL English spelling is difficult enuf will so many influences but FRENCH!? It doesn't spell like it sounds or speak like it looks - terrible language.
