I just read about a mouse named Gilbert. He roamed the cupboards for things to eat and he found bread, crackers, cereal, cookies, etc. But, his favorite food was cheese. He never came across any cheese in the cupboard. One day, a bright color and delicious odor attracted his attention. There sat a chunk o' cheese! He quivered with excitement as he scurried over to where the cheese was. Fortunately, this is a story for children so the end is not as gruesome as it could be.
As he sunk his teeth into the soft cheese, - "clank!" - a door slammed shut and he found himself in a cage. "I don't believe it!" Gilbert tho't. "Someone has tricked me with my favorite food."
This seems like a good analogy of the SAD, doesn't it? The "trap" we are in can be ill-health, obesity, and food addiction.
