Ouch! I've heard gout is very painful.
What foods do they say not to eat? Sorry you're hurting but glad you found out what it is. What else can be done for it?

that I have arthritis in my feet and gout. The gout is so painful. I cut out all the food they say you should not eat. I can walk better today than three days ago but it is still painful and swollen, Ice and painpills do not help. Pray this goes a way for good, although once you have it you have it. |

I checked what not to eat and I do not eat red meat or most of what they list. |

My mom has gout in her right foot/toe and it is so painful. some things that have helped her are cherries (any kind, fresh, dried or frozen - but I believe that the tart ones are the best for this. although any of them are good; and Suma (or maybe it's Summa...not sure of the spelling!) She gets this from Nature's Sunshine (CLW), but I don't know how much of it she takes. she says it really helps, though. |

I bought some tart cherry pills and juice and started taking it last night for my feet. This morning I can walk with my feet flat, not on my heals. Read that the cherry helps with uric acid which causes gout . and our sprouts had the pills and the juice. So keeping track of how this goes and the pills will only cost me 15.00 a month to use. :) :) :) :) |

My gout hurts mainly in the mornings, since I have not gotten the cherries in me yet. I am having pains in my left lower knee area. I put Ice on it. |
