Lisa, I was pleased to see that you were trying out my black bean recipe - how did it go?

Oh yes, I was going to post and say that it was delicious! One of the few recipes I've tried recently that I actually thought was delicious, and not just ok. Dh and ds liked it a lot, too. Dd was the only one not thrilled with it, but it wouldn't be normal around here if one kid wasn't unhappy, lol. I had some of the leftovers for lunch today and I will definitely be making it again, so thank you for sharing it with us! It was a nice change from our usual pinto beans.

Glad you enjoyed it, Lisa! : )

Tory, I still have a link to the old board in my favorites, so I can look up stuff like that. It would be great to have a recipe archive file on here one day, too.

I got some frozen brussells sprouts I want to try but I dont know how to cook them lol. Are they good in something like a pepper steak type sauce or no?

I'll eat them steamed, but to get my hubby and kids to eat them, I chop them up and saute them with onion and garlic and then I add a little sweetner (honey, brown sugar) and I add sunflower seeds and they all love them this way!

I'm hot and we're coming off vacation eating, so tonight for dinner I'm making a salad with spinach, mixed lettuces, mandarin oranges, cashews, almonds and craisins with fat free raspberry vinaigrette.

That sounds good. I'll have to try this. I'm anxious to try them!
