I found the stride chart.... for a 2 ft stride length.. it takes about 2750 steps for a mile for 2 1/4 ft stride is about 2500 steps for 2 1/2 ft stride is about 2250 steps! I can check the chart for different stride lengths. I just posted these because they are more our average on here. Taller people take fewer steps because they have a longer stride. I'm not one of them, lol! PS: My running stride is only slightly longer than my walking stride. |

I don't know, sis.. I used a yard stick and just walked normally and had ds measure from heel to heel.. then I did it at a pretend jog and measured that as my running stride. Anna,, I forget that I can google everything!!! LOL! It's not yet programmed into my brain. |

Those are some cool tools!! Theirs is slightly less steps than the chart I have shows, but they are close enough that I don't think it matters too much. |

My Mom sold World Book Encyclopedias for much of my childhood to help with our income. EVERY question I EVER asked was greeted with "Let's look it up!"  You never forget that kind of lesson. Serves me well.  Well, you know, once I got over the annoyance, anyway
