Well, it could have been 180. You are holding steady on the scale, but you do not know what is going on inside your mind and body that might just be ready for a loss to appear. Don't give up, and for goodness sake, hand the scale to you dh and have him hide it until 30 days from now!! ;)

I suppose I could give it a try but I tend to go the opposite direction. If I don't weigh nearly everyday, the next time I get on the scale there's an increase. I *think* I'm doing well but my cheating has become too normal for me.

I did well this thursday! yay! I think I need to see how long of a "good day" streak I can have.

Most of my recipes are for 4 and I cut them in half. Dh doesn't eat some of them which leaves me with unexpected leftovers. This is AWESOME! The only problem is cooking for him when *I* have leftovers. Right now I have chicken piccata, eggplant rotini, and steak leftovers! The steak is supposed to go on a southwest salad I have yet to make. The eggplant needs eaten (and then I have one in the freezer). Dh will eat the chicken piccata but probably not the spinach salad that goes with it. Or, maybe he will!

I need to learn to use my leftovers wisely. :)

That's one thing I never have to worry about.. leftovers. These kids never leave anything for the next day, lol!
I did remember to weigh today after 2 weeks of forgetting..
I'm at 156.3!!!!!
I'm SO close to 155 that I can't believe it.
Wow.. and I've been running and usually running makes me EAT and then I GAIN.
I am being really careful about what I eat this time around in my HM training.

Sis, your scale is not the issue. Your cheating is. ;) Perhaps you should get rid of the cheating and keep the scale. LOL

Thought we were not weighing for a month, or am I wrong.
I will tell what my starting weight is now and yall are all way below me.
I have been doing weigh down for a week now. I started at 196 and this morning am at 191.8lbs down 4.2 lbs .
So starting weight for the month 191.8.

When I did this before I lost 4 lbs a week, so I am on target.

Sis, freeze your leftovers if you can. If you do not plan on eating them the next day freeze them.
Keep a journal of what you are eating.
You do not have to have breakfast lunch and dinner at EX:8am , noon, and 6pm. Eat when you are hungry you feel that growling way deep down, not the little one that starts out but the deep one. Hope that made sense.

If you have to snack do it on a hard boiled egg, string cheese, (protein). That greek yogurt is good but it has a lot of calories, so cut the serving in half .
Just a few suggestions.

I agree with Pam, have DH hide that scale. I see mine everyday here in the computer room, but I ignore it.

Just a few suggestions. Try them. :)

I think we are all on different schedules as to weighing in. Tori and I were doing a weekly weigh in and I know you were going to do a monthly. I don't remember what everybody else is doing - not going by scale numbers maybe?

At 4lb a week you will catch up with me very quickly! :)

I did freeze some of my leftovers. I wish dh didn't eat so differently from me. We both love soups, tho', and that's a big plus! Now with the weather getting cooler I am making more soups. Just have to watch it cuz the creamy ones are the best! I'm finding a few that make the broth creamy by processing the veggies/beans and adding them back into the soup. That works well for me.

I start food journals all the time and never keep them up. :( I'm having a really hard time doing ANYthing regularly. Except eating. The reason I "have" to eat at certain times is because dh comes home to eat with me. He doesn't want to eat while I'm sitting there watching him. Also, I tend to get sick before my tummy starts deeply growling. I feel clammy and faint and will just grab anything at that point.

I have had a food plan this week that I've gone by fairly well. I could go back and pretty much write down what I've eaten... except for my cheats. :( That's what I need to write down! I know I had a small portion of chicken piccata yesterday with a spinach salad - yum! Then I had eggplant/ricotta rolls around 4 and more chicken and salad later. (Dh was out of town yesterday.) But, what were my cheats? Hmmmm - I know I had a couple of squares of dark chocolate. I haven't been keeping anything in the house that's too easy to get into besides the chocolate and some ice cream that's almost gone. When I make noodles that go with a meal I make only enuf for what I'm eating. I don't make enuf to go with the frozen portion. So, while I had my eggplant rolls on noodles the first time, I had them by themselves the next 2 or 3 times.

I do need to boil some eggs but not these huge ones we got last time! The greek yogurt is on my plan and I put 1/2 a banana and some nuts with it. It's supposed to be a few hundred calories. (I'm supposed to have 4 meals of about the same calorie content.) I think the yogurt might also be for calcium, altho' I'm not sure on that and the cheese would work for that as well. The cheesestick is definitely less calories than the Greek yogurt! About 1/2 I think! But it is about the only way I'll eat any fruit. I wonder why? It's not that I don't like it. It's the greasy salty foods that I love!

Dh and I had a coffee date this morning. We go out to the local espresso cafe and have a coffee and bakery item while we play cribbage. I only had my mocha this morning, so that was a good choice. I just won't need any more dairy today.

I'll make soup for lunch and probably have that leftover for dinner. We have soup after church for fellowship time tomorrow. I think I'll plan my southwestern salad for tomorrow evening. It has steak in it. Hmmm - there's not enuf meat left for dh to have some, too. Maybe that won't work.

Anyways, lots of thinking going on.

I just found out wednesday nite at Bible study that the school has an after school workout session. One of the ladies was going to find out more about it for me. If she doesn't tell me sunday I'll just call the school.

I've been walking a couple of times this week and I'm working up to challenging myself to walk when dh is home. It's stupid that I won't do it. It's one thing to not want to do a workout dvd or aerobics when he's around but just walking on the treadmill shouldn't be an issue! I'm so mental!

I think your missing link is the exercising. I do think you should add wlking or something.. and YES.. get over being worried about people looking at you.
(We've discussed this before! As long as no one is directly behind me, I'm good. lol)
Walk. walk. walk. If you can't, then do something.
(Said with love!!!)

:P Pam LOL

Guess what I got! A pedometer! I know it's not set right because 3 steps got me like 8 steps on the pedometer. Gonna work on that tonight and then start tracking my steps tomorrow.
