NONE ever again! ETA: I didn't think it was aimed at me, but I did do a double take at the choice of words. Society has corrupted me.

Back to the arm exercises, I had an injury to my left arm years ago, it got badly twisted trying to prevent a fall. I did not have normal function of the arm and kept thinking it would heal. I couldnt carry groceries or even hold a coffee cup. When I noticed it had atrophied I finally went through PT to regain full use. So I regularly use 3 and 5 lb dumbbells with both arms, if not the injured arm gives me trouble. Soup cans work, too. Needless to say, I don't have flabby arms!

Briva, I have a 5lb kettle bell and I used that for a while. I have a bad shoulder that I injured as a teenager. I reinjured it with the kettle bell 2 years ago even though I loved using it. I need to start again with a lower weight and work back up again. I hate that I was up to 5lbs only to have to stop!
That injury put me out of commission completely for a full month. I dread the thought of hurting my shoulder yet again, so I'm kind of afraid to do ANY weight bearing exercises with that arm.. my right arm.. and I'm right handed. Still... a little bit has to be better than doing nothing at all.
