My freezer is practically full of frozen food we NEVER EAT! :?

Dh won't defrost something to cook, he will run down to the local (aka expensive) store and grab something to make. *I* will thaw something out and then things come up and we're in town so we eat out, or dh brings something home from somewhere and we don't eat what's planned. It happens way too often.

SO, i'm trying to think of ways to use what is there. If i make smoothie bags, or prepare whole meals that can be microwaved or something, maybe we'll eat that stuff? I dunno. Maybe i should throw it all out and just buy a bunch of pot pies!

It's only 54 here this morning so i don't want a cold smoothie. We have a big stand up freezer, too, and the only thing i know of that's in there is Girl Scout cookies!!! The rest is old and dead, i'm sure. It's practically full!

What a waste.

SO, i was reading thru Anna's blog and saw the bags of celery and carrots chopped and going into the freezer. Hmmm. Chopping celery, carrots, onions, and garlic ahead sounds wonderful! Potatoes, too? But, i'm thinking of soups and not summer meals. I'm sure SALAD veggies aren't good frozen!

Not potatoes.

They turn black when frozen - except when treated with certain chemicals. Obviously the freezer food companies have some sort of magic that works - but "don't try this at home!"

So flattered that you're reading my blog : )

You might have some luck turning your stash into frozen "TV dinners" - you know microwavable meals for one.

Like the image in this video (didn't watch the actual video, just saw the first pic ; )

This is like "food porn" to me!!! :? :? I LOVE IT! My eyes get big watching it. I would L O V E to do this!!! Dh won't eat the same food that much tho'. Still, if you did that regularly you could end up with several different types of meals (and i would freeze them; he didn't). I should pick up some containers like those.
