The absolute BEST way I've found is to pack it all off to the laundromat with a good friend, get mochas and get 'er done. I've done that with bff and we had a great time. She felt funny about me folding her dh's boxers at first, but she got over it pretty fast. ;-)

LJ, I have to fold underwear and socks - no matter what. How can one go through life and not do so. Like making a bed, there is just something "right" about it. LOL. ;)

ITA, Pam!!! I just can't sleep at night, knowing that all the underwear and socks are in messy clumps and wads. I like nice, neat stacks of clothes...that way I can sleep soooooooooooooo much better!!!!

Oh, dear, I'm going to scandalize EVERYONE - but - I don't believe in making beds, either. (except for guests)

LOL, thank you SO much for saying that, so I know I'm not the only one! I do have the kids make their beds when they clean their rooms and I *try* to remember to make ours, but forget a lot. I guess if you grew up with the habit, it's easier to do, but my family was not very neat and tidy. Actually, I was the tidiest person in the family and the one who did most of the cleaning, lol.

I've never been a bed-maker. It seems a futile waste of time to me.

When we got married, I thought I had a duty to make the bed now, and started. Then one day dear dh said "Why do you do that?" Bless him! : )

I find it a little ironic that the two military veterans on here - you know, those of us who are trained to make a bed so a quarter can bounce off it - are the ones who don't make our beds!
