I hate them. At least the ones in TX. I don't know if it's the hard water we have here or what, I've never had this problem anywhere else we lived, but our toilets have nasty rings around them and I can't get it off no matter what I do. I've used CLR, bleach, vinegar, etc. Nothing gets it off. I feel like when guests come over they think I don't clean the toilets and I do. Does anyone have any suggestions? I just want to rip them out and replace them.

Pumis stones are great. Look for them in the aisle where they sell household cleaning products.

Yep, pumice stones. If it's just a ring it won't be too hard but if it's discolored from the water line down - ugh.

Thank you, I will definitely get one of these. I have heard of them, but don't know much about them. I did a quick google search and found this nice little piece of advice: Be sure to use separate stones for toilet cleaning and body use. Do not use the same stone for both purposes. I'm so ready for these rings to be gone. They are just rings, except for the toilet upstairs. That one had a broken part when we moved in and the people who lived here apparently just left it sitting there and so it is discolored on the bottom. It was a $5 part. Oh well, it's mostly just the kids who use that bathroom.

I guess people use it to exfoliate their skin?

I guess. It's really, really, rough though.
Like concrete.

It's great for toilets, though. I usually unwrap only one end. Dip it in water and then scrub using the covered end as a handle.

They do have "nicer" ones for your body but you could use the ones you get for the toilet. You know those rough things for your feet that you're to use in the tub? They usually have a handle, but not always. :)

I have had great results with hard water stains by SOAKING them in vinegar (Not just applying it briefly) If you're able to intentionally clog the toilet, then overfill it with a strong vinegar solution, that might work for you : )
