I've wondered how the starter was made. Interesting. I don't like sourdough but after watching this, I wonder if I would like it better if the starter was used sooner - after 4 days maybe. Hmmmm. I've heard "fermented" foods are healthier and now I see why sourdough is considered fermented!

Very nice video! I like the chef - she communicates well but isn't annoyingly chatty like so many video chefs : )

In the old country, Communion bread is often made from country style sourdough

I enjoy sourdough, but I'm very grateful for modern packaged, instant yeasts! : )
