Sad. It's so good that I got started early on the garden. With our long HOT dry spell, I didn't get back out to plant except once. I planted a few green beans and more radishes but the radishes languished in the sun and the green beans... well, I guess the deer like those best. sigh Dh had to shoo deer out off the garden the other day. They're almost like pets they're so used to humans around. If I weighed out "seeing the deer close" and "having a nice garden"... I'd pick seeing the deer close. So, it's not a total loss.
The lettuce also looks ugly so I pulled it out. A tall glass of raspberry iced tea sounds good right now. I should take notes for next year. LOL The kids don't seem to mind pulling weeds which rather shocks me. My visiting dgd seemed to especially enjoy it. She says she does it with her step-mom, too.
