Anyone know anyone that does ironing; and if so, how much do they charge?
14yod, is going to start ironing shirts for a young man at church.
Many years ago, my grandma, used to charge $1.00/shirt.
I'm thinkin' $2, now-a-days?
What do you think?

I used to iron shirts for a living! It was a little over a buck then - and I've watched ads and it seems that the prices haven't changed much since then.
Commercial establishments have large machines that make it possible to do 20 to 30 shirts an hour - keeping prices low.
But, commercial machines don't do a perfect job.
She may be able to charge a *little* extra for doing them by hand.
If she wants to compete with commercial establishments, she probably can't go over $1.50/shirt. But, if her customers are wanting to help her out as a young person in the Church, it is possible they would pay a little more than that.

I would guess that $2 would be fair Donna. At least negotiable.

I'd charge around $2 and a little extra if they want starch.
