Since I do the no-shampoo when washing my hair it has managed to stay healthy and is growing like crazy. Its longer than I have ever had it. I found this video series on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/TheLongHairedFlapper where the young lady uses foam curlers or pin curls, and ways of updoing longer hair. No more hot curlers for me.

Thanks for posting that! I've always been curious about these things. When I have a few moments of quiet (I have four at home) I'll check it out! I'm also curious about the no-shampoo hair washing. I'm relatively new to this site, could you give me a website or some info? Thanks.

Mama J.

Here's a good website with info. To start I ended up only doing it once a week because my scalp would be dry. I use 1 tbsp baking soda in a plastic cup and get it to a slurry with water and apply that to my scalp and gently massage it in. Then rinse it out through the rest of my hair which is very long. I then add 1/4 cup white vinegar to a cup of water and massage that in also all the way to the ends. Rinse out completely. My hair smells clean. No vinegary smell or perfumes. No frizz!

Briva, all the pictures I've ever seen of you, you have super short hair. I can't picture you with long hair in my mind... I'm SO used to the "short hair" you!

That was an interesting video, Sis. I'd like to try that to sleep in.
