My dd and I are trying to grow a garden this year. It's been a while since I've had one.. well, since before dh died.

We are eating more fresh vegetables because now that my dc are older, they actually LIKE them!
We bought seeds for green beans, zuchinni, yellow squash, green onions, and a few other things that I can't remember right now.
I also bought a tomato plant that is in a hanger. I will hang this from my porch out of the cats reach (hopefully, lol!)
I am the only one that eats tomatoes so one plant should be enough. I will freeze what I don't eat fresh.

I want some silver queen corn but haven't found seeds for that yet.
I can't wait!! Dd is excited also. It's so good to see her getting into growing her own food. She also bought a few herbs to grow for cooking. She really likes to cook now. I know one of the herbs she bought is italian parsely. I can't remember what else she found.

Awesome! Enjoy it. I have a notoriously brown thumb so we'll see how ours goes this year. :0)

On the silver queen, maybe a supplier problem. Here's my fav place for veg and herb seeds http://www.cooksgarden.com/?cid=PPC they carry something this year called Silver Princess, it matures quicker than Queen.
