Do a search for Queso Blanco. It's a very easy cheese. Mom, makes hers with powdered milk, but I believe you can make it with whole milk. Lots of variations on the recipe. I'll try and find mine for you. Here's a couple of quickies, I found..... http://www.yummly.com/recipe/Queso-Blan ... ition=1/12 http://www.yummly.com/recipe/Queso-Blan ... ition=1/12 The kids like it with honey, molasses, sugar, whatever, sprinkled on it. I wish I had your problem, Martha! Moooooooo |

Dd is coming home tomorrow, and I've done fairly well at keeping up with the milk. We still have a fridge full of cheese that dd made so I passed on cheese. I've made puddings and custards of all kinds! LOL. If I had some tapioca, I would have made that. I've also made pumpkin soup (used a LOT of milk on that!), white sauce, yogurt, and pumpkin pie. Now all my eating customers have gone (SIGH) -- one back to school, one to her boyfriend's family, one still at camp -- so it's just ds and me. If you have any more non-sweet milk ideas, let me know! Thanks! |
