Yes, cans are getting smaller, price of meats are through the roof!
Boxes of just about everything is smaller.
I used to be able to cook for the 4 of us and have enough for everyone to get full, but now, I have to make twice the items for the same amount of food.

At the same cost, I might add.

The cans I've noticed everyone is switching to the pop=top cans. They are smaller and cost more... I'd rather have the regular cans you use a can opener for. What's the purpose of pop-tops unless you're camping or something??
I can't find the regular cans anymore.
Buying fresh... oh man don't get me started!
;)

Yeah - a year or two ago, Kroger cut all their frozen veggies from 1# bags down to 12oz bags - which messes up a whole bunch of recipes that call for 1#!

And pretending they're giving you extra value for packaging them in those plastic bags that you can steam the veggies right in their packaging. Who wants microwaved plastic, anyway?

It all just seems a bit deceitful to me.

Back decades ago, they started pricing gasoline at .9 prices (eg $2.95.9/gal) I'm sure no one even notices now that they're actually paying a penny more a gallon than they think. But, when they first started the deceitful practice, my Grandfather wouldn't buy from any station that had that sort of pricing.
