Terrific list of the first 100 items to disappear.

I really want to stock up on some things, but every time I think I have something stocked up, something happens and we end up having to use that before I can start stocking up the next thing, it's a lot aggravating.

Maybe one of these days, for now I think it might just be best for me to freshen up on basic skills of things that are edible that grow wild, and a few other things. Because at the rate we are going we won't be able to stock up on things. We never seem to really have enough to cover everything and I really positively don't know where we could cut back any more, we've cut our power bill down till its really low which is good, but our gas bill to get to work is a lot because the vechical we have is a gas hog and needs work we will be buying a battery for it this week, and I'm not sure what else, it was in need of repairs when it was given to us, and I am thankful for it because it's a lot better than trying to walk from where we live to anywhere, my dh would not be able to get to work without it as where he works is about 25 miles one way from here.

Our rent is also very affordable especially for the quality of the neighborhood, I really hope we don't have to move for a very long time.

Anyways, I think maybe in addition to stocking up on things people may just want to start relearning how to do things with whats around them like how to recognize edible foods such as say polk salad or various berries, or how to fish, etc.
And if possible gardening with the intent to provide not just for the weekly needs but to have more to put back, (we planned to do that this year, but that didn't work out we only had just enough every week but maybe this coming year we'll be able to do better)

Also bartering skills would be good too, imo, because some people have the skills needed to make home repairs, auto repairs, or to even just show people how to cook without using electricity, etc.

I think the things on the list is very beneficial though, especially for people who may have storage space, and have the means to stock up on things, not everyone will be able to those for various reasons.

Oh, and before I forget something that would be very helpful for people would be to learn about herbs (the ones that can be safely used for different ailments) so that if they could not get needed medications they could still treat any health problems they may have.
