Here's a very interesting article about a Christian who has decided not to vote for President.
http://lewrockwell.com/fedako/fedako22.1.html

"Enough with the moral indignation. I am not voting for president, plain and simple.

Whenever I mention my stance on voting, many of my fellow Christians are taken aback – horrified. I typically get a knee-jerk response along the lines of, "When good people don’t vote, evil triumphs." As a Christian who believes in God’s word, I can dismiss such comments out of hand. Evil exists, that is true, but my vote will not bind Satan in chains. "

Don't know why he wouldn't just write in Ron Paul and help changes begin. ??

My Grandparent's Church didn't believe Christians should vote at all - since our Governement did not give allegiance to God, they thought it was immoral for a Christian to participate at all in government.

While I am of a different view than they were, I see it that there are many valid, devout perspectives Christians can have on voting.

As long as we are voting for a human being who sins, we will in some sense be voting for the lesser of two evils. There is no such thing as a sinless candidate.

But, if we believe that both candidates are completely outside the will of God, then I agree, abstaining is a good choice.

Right now, I am aware of no candidate (write in or otherwise) that I personally can really get behind.

I am torn between voting and not voting at this point.

Can a write in candidate win? I'm not sure if that is exactly the right wording for what I'm asking, but... if we write in a candidate, if the votes are there, could they actually become president or is there somthing that would be blocking such a thing? Does that make sense??

In theory, it could happen - if a majority of the people who vote all write in the same name. A more likely positive outcome is that the written-in candidate would get enough votes to be eligible for federal election-funding grants next election.

Probably not but if you write in a vote you are letting people know that you aren't just a slackard for not voting but you are unhappy with the choices provided. You are, in effect, saying, "Give us better (or more) choices."

This has been such a struggle for me, to vote or not - but after reading about Bonhoeffer, I think I must. But I won't be voting for Obama or Romney!

There are always candidates from third parties!

I thought it was very interesting how the article pointed out that Christians voted for Hitler's party.
