The list of "Worst Places to Live" has been released. It's a USA Today & Wall St. 24/7 (not to be confused with WSJ) concept.
They judge "Worst Places to Live" based on 3 things - Formal Educational Level, Financial Wealth, & Life Expectancy. https://www.usatoday.com/picture-gallery/money/2019/03/11/these-are-the-worst-counties-to-live-in/39164473/
They DON'T measure any of the things that truly matter in this life!
In this article, they say West Virginia is so much worse than Maryland because the "Household income" is 1/2 of Maryland's, and many workers "never join the work force." Could it be that West Virginia has mostly traditional families with stay-at-home families? Could it be that they're happier than the people making twice as much money (in a state with a much higher cost of living?)

These reports on happiest/best places to live - or worst - always seem very warped to me. In one study, they said preschoolers in childcare equated to happiness. It seems to me that just the opposite would be true!
What are your ideas on what makes a place to live "best" or "worst" ?
