How to fact check all the junk going around about Trump's extravagant trips to FL costing enuf to fund the programs he's cutting???

He's allowed to spend HIS OWN money however he sees fit.

If it's the secret service bill they're talking about - then why aren't they talking about how much it costs to watch Hillary and Bill in their separate accommodations? Secret Service protection is the right of any presidential - or former presidential family. And they shouldn't HAVE to live like prisoners if they want to travel.

As for the programs being cut, if it were possible to make some of those programs REFUND PAST PAYMENTS - I'd still think it was great! 8-)

Seriously - the National Endowment for the Arts has funded all sorts of blasphemous Anti-Christian and horrific GARBAGE - don't I deserve some of that money BACK!

And Planned Parenthood, for Pete's Sake - why did ANY of our tax dollars EVER go to that?

Ask THEM to provide EVIDENCE for their allegations. The burden of proof always should rest on the one with the more preposterous claim :roll:

But they ALL have traveled as Presidents. I cant count how many Hawiian trips O made.

As for how soon.. They work around the clock. Probably not an 8 to 5 M thru F job. So when is the "right" time?

Not defending him, because after O won twice I've lost all "whatever" (can't call it "faith"!) in politics.

I can't believe that it costs more to go to Florida than to Hawaii - I've heard that Florida is very inexpensive, and Hawaii is arguably one of the most expensive states in the Union - not to mention the cost of the flight there & back. Not to mention, I recall the Obama family going on long exotic trips to places like Africa (WITH their children) - that's cheaper than Florida?

I don't begrudge the Obamas their travel, but I need some hard, cold numbers (from someplace that DOES hard cold numbers - like the GAO) before I'd even consider such a preposterous comparison as Florida three times being more expensive than Hawaii and Africa put together!

ETA: If the rioters would quit making threats against him and his family, it might bring the secret service expenses down considerably. THEY are the reason his security costs so much - then they blame him!

And, counting the travel of his adult children against him is disingenuous. They expect his kids to just working and sit home & do nothing ? (as some have accused former presidential offspring of doing) Of course his kids have to keep doing whatever their job was before. And, of course we have to provide them security.

Check every past president. Every single one of them has gone on MANY vacations. Chelsea Clinton, the Bush girls, and the Obama girls have been around the world with their moms. How many business people take the whole family on business trips? Many of the trips have been without the President but still on presidential planes. This is all distracting us from what is really going on -- like bombing Yemen and passing another healthcare tax, uh, I mean plan.

The real killer on this is that they aren't criticizing him (or his children) for vacationing - but for WORKING! He met Prime Minister Abe of Japan in Florida - a huge WORK event.

You're right, Martha - it's a bunch of sheer nonsense.
