I think Bunning is only letting her go because he feels he's been able to bully the other clerks into sinning, and now she's just a political liability - but, she's being released all the same. I'm sure she'll be glad to be home!

Her deputy clerks were called before the judge the day she was sentenced & asked to swear an oath that they would issue them. All but one agreed (one said that she was a Preacher's kid, and it went against her conscience, but she still agreed). The one who did not agree was Kim Davis' Son.

But, the deputies have no legal authority to sign the licenses - they've been issuing them unsigned. Issuing a license without proper legal authority is a criminal offense in KY - as Kim Davis' lawyer pointed out today.

As her lawyers pointed out, she is the only one *obeying* the law at this point - since there are no laws in place to authorize this as the Supreme Court does not make laws, and the legislature has not yet met.
