My church has been traveling to China for the last 8 years to teach English to middle and high school students. They are hungry for relationships and we are seeing them come to Christ. In fact, 2 of those ladies are now living here in the U.S. One I attend church with and another moved back here after marrying one of the guys in our church that moved to China for work. Wonderful ladies that now love Jesus. We also have a ministry (business) that sends teachers to China to work in the universities.

That's great!

My Mom learned to use chopsticks (when she was 5 years old) from a lady in her Church who was a missionary to China - that was shortly before all the missionaries were forced out of China - in the 30's.

Mom's college roommate was Chinese - this was in 1949 - the year the Communists took over. Mom's roommate had been sent to an American college to save her life.

My Mom always had a special fondness for China & its Evangelization

I also found this very touching story online yesterday - it really shows what it *meant* to be a Missionary to China in the 30's.
