Make no mistake, Briva, people vote with their dollars and their feet just as surely as with ballots.

As for our Chick-Fil-A, it was in the mall's food court - and the entire mall had more business than I've ever seen on a weekday. It was almost like a Saturday before Christmas : )

I'm glad they are getting so much support today! We don't have one here, so couldn't eat there today. I hope the support they get today far outweighs the "Kiss in" demonstration the pro gay community has planned for Friday. Blech!

What "kiss in"? I haven't heard about that.

On Friday, supporters of same-sex marriage will have their say. They plan a “kiss-in” at Chick-fil-A restaurants across the country – encouraging gays and lesbians to share a public display of affection at the home of the chicken sandwich.

Guess a boycott isn't enough for them. :(

And, guess which event the press will cover? Thousands of people pouring in today to show support, but the press will cover the two who show up on Friday, I'm guessing.

They will have to order something or they can be kicked out can't they? If so, Chick-Fil-A will still win lol.

The closest one is the next town over and we didn't get there today. Too many errands with ds trying to get his license. (only to have to go tomorrow)
I had to call my SIL to ask her a question and she asked if we were going there to eat (I had forgotten about it).. I told her no, but then we do support them all year round.
The news showed that the two closest to us were PACKED out the door and around the building. The news anchor incouraged everyone to go READ for themselves what was really said and not just follow rumors on FB or other social media...
he also said that 80% of those polled (that were there eating) said they were there because of the right to free speech... a very positive report. They did say there were protesters but they never showed them on the air, lol!

Oh, now that is just disgusting! I'm thinking I need to go back on Friday, too!

I'm assuming they will probably be doing the kissing demonstration on the outside of the building, since they definitely wouldn't support them by ordering something. I was thinking that if we had one here, I would probably go on Friday to support them, too. But I would have to go without the kids. Wouldn't want them to see public make out sessions of any kind.

LOL Tory! That would probably be a natural reaction for a lot of people anyhow! Maybe the CEO should give the employees Friday off. They probably need it to recover from today and to be able to re-stock the food supply back after today!

We had lots of news coverage of the ones around here today. I wonder how Friday will be around here. We are pretty redneck rural. You could expect to see something akin to Larry the Cable Guy here!

I don't like to see public pawing regardless of what kind of couple it is either Lisa.
