CALLED OUT TO VOTE FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS
Are you a voting Christian? Many Christians are confused about who to vote for. Some feel it would violate their conscience to vote for a Mormon. There are church going folks who never intend to vote, and there are other religious groups who believe it is wrong to even get involved in politics. I believe this all stems from a mistaken mindset, and this is tragic indeed. Meanwhile, this great nation of America goes into decline as Christians allow the worldly to govern. The Christian population is the largest voting bloc, and could easily influence our government for good if they could just forget their doctrinal differences long enough to vote. This is our God given responsibility, as well as a priviledge.
Consider the Scripture verse in Matthew 16:18. Jesus said, “On this Rock I will build my Church.” Jesus uses the Greek word Ekklesia, translated as Church in the King James Version. The Greek term Ekklesia means called out ones, or set apart. Greek speaking people of Jesus day understood the word Ekklesia meant, the calling out of free men to gather at the city gate and vote on a civil issue. Ekklesia means the called out ones, to legislate or govern. God's Ekklesia today are the born again Christians, the Church, and they are called to be His government in the earth. The Body of Christ could change many of the ills of society over night, such as abortion, redefinition of marriage, and the loss of religious freedoms, if they would exercise their God given authority to govern.
Many believe that God sovereignly installs our government leaders. I disagree. I don't think God even tells His people who to vote for, but certainly His Spirit causes us to know what to vote for, and that is RIGHTEOUSNESS. He has given His authority to His Ekklesia to enforce His will in this earth. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, in earth as it is in Heaven.” Matthew 6:10. There is no political party that is totally righteous, however we can discern who is the most righteous candidate, “By their fruits you shall know them.” Matthew 7:20. Righteousness has to do with a standard of conduct of: justice, uprightness, honesty and morality. The Body of Christ needs to quit longing for Heaven, and wishing to leave this earth, and declare and establish God's will in the earth. We are here for a purpose. We are the called out free men for such a time as this.
Can a Christian vote for a Mormon? ABSOLUTELY YES! We are not voting for chief priest, but for commander in chief. Mormons do believe in a righteous and high standard of conduct. Remember also that Romney has a Christian running mate. Plus, in the fiscal shape our country is in we need a business man, and not another lawyer. Considering Obama's very own words and actions, He apparently is a Muslim, and that's the last religion we need in the White House, as it will eventually replace our democracy and establish Sharia law. A vote for Obama is a vote for abortion, both here and all over the world, paid for by American taxes. A vote for Obama is a vote for same sex marriage. A vote for Obama is a vote for European style socialism. A vote for Obama is a vote for two new ultra liberal supreme court judges, and the list is endless. To not vote at all is a vote for Obama. To write in a third party candidate is a vote for Obama. For those folks who do not get involved in politics, you are part of the problem, and you better thank God for those who do vote to provide you the freedom to live in the greatest nation in the world.
For the record, I am not a Republican, or a Democrat, or any other party member. I am also not a Mormon. I am an ultra conservative, born again, Jesus man. Christians, please join me in voting for RIGHTEOUSNESS.
