Can't believe the cost of this system - 300K! (and that doesn't even say if its per year or total cost)

I hadn't been in a public school in many years till we did a ton of Sea Cadets recruiting last month. Most of the kids were on free lunch and breakfast programs. Those who weren't had there lunches charged to their school account. There is a huge anti-bullying thing going on here so I guess they don't want the kids to have money to be extracted from them? Or maybe yhey just want to teach them how wonderful credit and a cashless society is. I would definitely not let my kiddo the hand scan IF there were a choice, but unfortunately, there is rarely a choice.

The government takes our money by force, then chooses everything right down to what our kids eat for breakfast and lunch. I think our "lunch money" has already been "extracted"!
