In our devotions last night the story of Elisha and the widow's oil came up. I was telling 6yo dgs that the widow and her son were on the very last of their food with no way to get more. And he pipes up, "Didn't she have a credit card?"

 :?

Yeah - I hate to admit it, but I think the same way.

When I hear someone is out of food I think
1)Credit Card
2) Check or wait till Payday
3) Neighbor
4) Foot Stamps
5) Food Bank/Pantry
6) Soup Kitchen/Shelter

It's *really* hard for us modern Americans to really *understand* a time and place where there simply IS no food to be had.
