Hi Alex!!!! :D The great thing about homeschooling is you can adjust things to fit your lifestyle! Isn't that wonderful???

It is nice to *see* you again. I hope and pray you get some relief from your pain.

I am dating a woman who has fibromyalgia, but is now nearly symptom free. Are you interested in hearing her story? She is pain free most of the time.

Welcome Alex. I have been married for almost 21 years, and I have two kids...Ariel who is 16 and at community college. She does not want to graduate high school until 2014. Xander, my son, he is 13 and in 8th Grade. He is in a program called Classical Conversations. Welcome!

OK. I didn't know if you have heard too many stories about what worked for whom, and none of it worked for you.

She was diagnosed with Lupus, Fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and MS all at the same time. She spent all of her time curled up in bed in pain. She read that these are all autoimmune diseases, and that all autoimmune diseases are actually food allergies. Food allergies run in her family. She went on an elimination diet and found out that she had allergies to wheat, tomatoes and potatoes. It took some time for her symptoms to clear up. Now she is symptom free, as long as she does not eat wheat, potatoes or tomatoes. If she eats any of them, she will be in pain for anywhere from a few days to a few months. Antihistamines help with the pain.

So the key, for her, was to determine what foods she was allergic to, them stop eating those foods. If you met her today, you would not know that she had any of those diseases, until you went with her to Burger King, and she ordered her hamburger without the bun, then pulled the tomatoes off and gave them to me.

Hi Alex. I have three young adults (almost 24, 22, and 21) all graduated. I have two girls left, Rachel is 13, and Leah will be 12 in Oct.

Gee, I hope you can find relief from your fribromyalgia Alex. My Mom has that as well. I wish she would try the food elimination Scott, but she won't even eat healthy for her diabetes.

Same here! I hope you do get some relief. My sister has it and she won't change her diet either! She talks about eating healthy but doesn't actually do it

Anyway, I have 3 dc. Twin ds's that will graduate this school year, and a dd that has a few years to go yet.
