I have come across earth snakes that look like big earth worms but this guy had different coloring. He was waiting on death row in a bucket until I identified him. He is not a snake at all but a legless lizard. Eastern glass lizard.

We gave him a reprieve and set him back where he was. Odd behavior for a snake but oh so much like a lizard. Really strange.
